New Leadership in Framingham - City Council Chair Phil Ottaviani
The Right Choice for City Council
Meet Phil Ottaviani, Candidate for District 6 City Council
Dear Neighbors,
I have had the privilege of representing District 6 in the Council, for the last three years, and serving as Council Chair since January 2022.
This year District 6, and the precincts it contains, changes. While I am sad to lose friends, families and neighbors along the reservoir and Winter Street in former Precinct 11, I gain neighbors along Pleasant Street and Framingham Centre. District 6 contains Precincts 7, 8, 9. To learn your new precinct and where you vote, please visit the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website.
As your Councilor, I remain committed to a responsive government that listens to you, spends your tax dollars responsibly, and preserves the quality of life in our neighborhoods. Framingham is our home. It is also a community on the move. Issues like affordability, supporting small businesses and smart development, and strengthening our schools remain my top goals.
In my first year as Chair of the Council, I worked with the Mayor’s Office bringing in new volunteers on various boards and commissions, navigated the Council through tough conversations about the municipal budget and the water and sewer crisis, supported increasing affordable housing and sustainability efforts.
Our work together is not finished. We have more to do.
I welcome your thoughts, ideas, and questions.
Sincerely,
Philip R. Ottaviani, Jr.
