I have had the privilege of representing District 6 in the Council, for the last seven years, and serving as Council Chair from 2022 to 2025.

As we celebrate the historic 325th anniversary of Framingham's establishment this year, I'm reminded of our community's rich heritage and our ongoing responsibility to shape its future. This milestone year offers us an opportunity to reflect on our past while embracing exciting new developments across our city.

As your Councilor, I remain steadfastly committed to a responsive government that listens to your concerns, manages your tax dollars responsibly, and preserves the quality of life in our neighborhoods. I'm particularly proud of several recent initiatives that enhance our community:

• The new Framingham Community Energy program has launched, providing residents with more sustainable and affordable energy options while reducing our city's carbon footprint.
• We've expanded our network of trails and green spaces, connecting more neighborhoods and offering enhanced recreational opportunities for residents of all ages.
• I've been fighting vigorously to ensure Framingham Union Hospital remains a vibrant, full-service medical facility in our city, standing against service reductions that would impact our community's healthcare access.
• The upcoming revitalization of the old Danforth Building into a modern justice center will bring energy into our Downtown.
• Our farmers market continues to thrive, bringing fresh, local produce to our community while supporting regional agriculture.
• And who could forget our spectacular July 4th fireworks display that brought our community together in celebration?

Despite these successes, we face significant challenges. The uncertainty and chaos caused by the Trump administration and federal government have created difficulties for municipal planning and funding. Nevertheless, I remain committed to supporting our schools, improving our roads, and tackling the traffic concerns that affect our neighborhoods daily.

During my tenure as past Chair of the Council and current Chair of the Finance Subcommittee, I'm proud of what we've accomplished together, but our work is far from finished. In this anniversary year, I'm particularly focused on preserving our community's character while embracing positive change that benefits all residents.
